  • Intensive Care Unit nurse’s work for critically ill patients. These patients are often going through serious health problems and need intensive care. Nurses working in ICU provide critical treatment and medication along with best possible care.
  • After few years of experience in a critical care setting, nurse can pursue a specialization in the field and earn the title CCRN.

Labor & Delivery –

  • Labor and delivery nurses help women during childbirth. Their job includes helping women deliver babies; assist with the care of postnatal women and the new born. They teach women how to deal with labor pain, how to take care of the baby and some nurses also help in surgical deliveries and this make them specialists in operating-room care. 
  • To earn certification in labor and delivery, several years of experience is required.
